Eurovision 2028
The Art of Music
A hypothetical visual identity for Eurovision 2028 in Spain, where the rhythm of flecos and the soul of Spanish art weave together into a modular, organic system. A design that breathes tradition and modernity, transforming heritage into a fluid, contemporary visual language for a global stage.
Spain hasn’t won the contest since 1969 and is one of the countries that has gone the longest without a victory; this therefore raises the question: what would a Eurovision produced in Spain be like? And that is what this project is all about.
Drawing inspiration from the fringes on the dress worn by the last winner, Salomé, in 1969, a compositional system was developed that revolves around this highly characteristic element of Spanish culture, abstracting it from its material form to focus on its essence.
This idea of fringes is combined with a search for inspiration in terms of both graphics and movement, one source of which is the work of Soledad Sevilla.
